This app was developed as a solution for plant lovers with too many plants who need a hand tracking when to water and how to care for their leafy friends.

The main page of Plantr is the Sill: an ever-growing window sill for the user to keep track of all their plants on. Every main page for the features of the app can be accessed through the header bar or footer bar at any point while using the app in order to keep everything as easy to navigate and reach as possible.

As plantr was an app and meant to be interactive by nature, this project introduced me to Adobe XD where I was able to create a proof of concept prototype. To interact with the app click here or view the walkthrough below.

A key feature of Plantr is the Doctr Plantr section of the app which allows you to chat with a bot who is able to recognize described symptoms and help point the user in the direction of potential causes for their plant’s unhealthy appearance. Doctr Plantr directs the user to pages such as the one above where they can get detailed information on the disease, fungus, or other issue and learn how to correct it.

An unlimited number of plants can be added to Plantr through the plant catalog. Plants can be searched for by name, alphabetically, or through categories. Each plant has its own information screen with everything the user needs to know when first considering buying a new plant or learning how to care for a plant they’ve just purchased.
