As CodeVA reached its tenth year in business, an opportunity to expand its branding guidelines and update its overall appearance was presented to me. I worked with directors and managers within the organization for several months to reach a fresh, clear design that retained the original energy of the brand.

Originally a simple circle with CodeVA’s wordmark in the center, when approaching our redesign I wanted to incorporate CodeVA’s use of navigational language and imagery from prior projects. Initially, we agreed upon the use of a map pin for a primary image and developed it from there.
